The National Testing Agency declared the NEET UG 2026 result on 16 July 2026. Out of nearly 20 lakh candidates who appeared, around 11.21 lakh have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied programmes. This follows the later-than-usual cycle in which the original May exam was cancelled and a re-examination was held in June 2026 — the Re-NEET 2026 result is your official NEET UG 2026 result, and it is what all counselling bodies (KEA for Karnataka, MCC for All India Quota) will use.

Scorecards are available on the official NTA portal. Log in with your credentials ready rather than searching for them under pressure — the site runs slow under heavy traffic on result day.

Where to Check Your Result

Your scorecard is only ever valid when it comes from NTA's official portal — we will never tell you otherwise. But NTA's site routinely buckles under traffic on result day, and unofficial links claiming "early access" or "leaked results" flood search results within minutes of any big exam.

Never trust any site claiming to show your result before NTA does. There is no such thing as an early or leaked NEET result.

How to Download Your NEET 2026 Scorecard

1. Go to the official NTA result page once the result is announced
2. Log in using your application number and date of birth or password
3. Enter the security PIN displayed on screen
4. Download and save your scorecard as a PDF — you will need it at every stage of counselling, so do not rely on a screenshot

Your scorecard shows your name, application details, subject-wise marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, total marks out of 720, percentile, All India Rank, and category rank. Check every field the moment you download it — a mismatch needs to be corrected before counselling begins, not during it.

What Happens Right After the Result

• State merit lists are prepared from the NEET result for state counselling bodies like Karnataka's KEA
• KEA counselling registration typically opens within days of the merit list, with its own short deadline for enrollment and document verification
• MCC counselling for the 15% All India Quota seats runs on a parallel, separate timeline

The gap between result day and the counselling registration deadline is usually a matter of days — which is why it is worth knowing your documents and eligibility status in advance.

Your Rank Is Only Half the Picture

A number on a scorecard does not tell you what MBBS seat it actually gets you — that depends on your category, domicile status, and the quota structure of the state you are targeting. If you are aiming for Karnataka, seat outcomes vary enormously between government, private, and management quota even for the same rank.
